I'm sure my mum also had issues about having not just ONE but TWO gays sons, out of the four she had... But she seems to have coped and is now one soldier on our side. You should hear how she defends us (not just her sons, but gay people) in her church, and believe me, she really has to struggle to get people to change their points of view (they don't always see it her way). Sometimes though, through discussion, I think they may get a better understanding and better relationships follow.

Doesn't your mother want you to be happy? Are you her only son? (in which case, I guess, the pressure to marry is really hard)

Sorry to hear you've had such a bad response. Mothers should know better. Bravo for being brave enough to tackle her.

She doesn't know how to change you with some justification. There isn't a way. It's you. Any attempt to meddle with such a fundamental part of who you are will only lead to further heartache. Sounds like she's going to need some time to deal with it.
