Human placenta? No.

Few of my male and female colleagues take sheep placenta (capsules).

After I was discharged from my third surgery, few of my colleagues suggested me to take sheep placenta (capsules) and collagen supplement to heal up the surgery scars, stretch marks etc. They were concerned.

I didn't say no instantly. I read the brochure and thought it was fine. Nothing creepy about it except for the name, placenta. Each capsule contains sheep placenta and grape seed oil.

But what made me say no was the price. 400 bucks was the lowest price for high quality sheep placenta supplement.

Oh yeah sheep placenta is really common here as a souvenir gift. It comes in capsules and cream. I'm not sure if 'PLACENTA' was the best brand name for it though xD

Oh no, the brand is not called Placenta. The brand is called CellLabs, zell-v or something.

Sorry, I meant 'Except for its content, placenta.'

oh no the brand here is called something like 'Placenta'. When mum bought it for her friends for the first time I got really confused and when I found out it was actually placenta I just quietly thought "what the hell is wrong with these souvenir shops o.o"

Also, on a similar note has anybody seen the Hong Kong film 'Dumplings?'

It's about a Mainland Chinese woman who shuttles back and forth from Shenzhen and Hong Kong collecting aborted foetuses from mothers and running an underground business in Hong Kong making dumplings out of foetal mince.

An aging celebrity goes to try these dumplings which supposedly have an amazing effect and the story just moves along from there.

xD It's a great movie but not really about placentas.
