The question though i would be asking is why is he under no condition to date anyone? whats the problem that he has had from dating guys that caused him to say this.
Yes i agree with previous people that the problem is with him and not yourself, however depending on how far you like the guy whether to let him slip or to give him time.
Space is always a good thing, you can never have too much of it but a person can have too little which makes them clam up.
The conclusion can only be drawn by yourself. But from what i can tell you could be the potential catch for any guy lucky enough to come across you, so keep your chin up. Time will tell as they say.
