Nathan, I want you to know that I was shocked and overwhelmed by the number of people that were supportive of me coming out (in the Longview area alone). It sounds like you need to find more friends in the secular social circles, and learn to validate yourself and your feelings.

People are attracted to who they are attracted to. I took a guy out who was quite a bit younger than i am, about 9 years younger. He was very hard on himself because he was a little fat, but he was very sweet. I really think it didn't work because of out age gap. But southern about twenty min of getting to know him I started finding him physically attractive. But honestly I don't typically find people attractive on first glance. I think I am actually demisexual.
