the cold front passed through Denver. Usually westerly storms loose all their moisture when they go over the mountains but this one left a few inches of snow in the valley.

and so it begins, my paranoid grandmother is already in freakout mode. no matter how many times I tell her we have all we need she doesn't listen and sends me running in circles. hopefully it wont be as bad as last year, I can deal with a few days of no power but 10 is way to many.

Storms just take my breath away, it just astonishes me the power of them, winds strong enough to that they could literally drive an innocuous leaf through a brick wall.
