They both have thirteen letters.

Both equal 13, both contain 13 letters and the numbers spelled out make an anagram.

Mathematically (I think its algebra?) the statement is correct in that

11+2= 12+1 (Because both equal 13).

Once transposed to numbers and you add up each digit for each side of the equal sign you end u with

1+1+2 = 1+2+1

both equaling four

thus 4=4
