I remember the very first episode, broadcast on November 23rd 1963 - the day after Kennedy was shot.

We really need a thread on who should have been shot to promote the reboot. Not that I much care, I'm still hiding behind the sofa, which was back then called a settee.

Let's have an honourable mention for Seaquest, from the mid to late nineties. Not because it was any good but because Jonathan Brandis was in it. When I see it now, every scene he crops up in just makes me think why oh why?

Have to agree with a lot of people here and say Dr Who would my favorite as well.

I grew up watching Dr Who. First by TV antenna and then graduating to cable just to get it. I watched them all, and still enjoy watching it. Have to say Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker were my favorite Doctors though.

Another funny thing growing up with Dr Who was my mother who became a major Dr Who fan after hearing the use of a crumhorn, which she was playing at the time ,(a medieval horn) that was used during the episode Dr Who and the Silurians.
