And just to be clear, I did think it was interesting and well-written in terms of explaining his own experience and views it's just I've seen other articles (most of those in zines and pagan magazines) who, IMO, beautifully wove together the Wiccan mindset and warrior path so that it didn't seem strange at all and made a lot of sense in both a theological and sociological sense.

And I'm glad our military has become more enlightened toward Wicca (despite strong influence from fundies, but then the ACLU did help a lot), that's better than the Dianic mentor I mentioned who gave her religion as Wicca in a civilian hospital (in case she needed a priest or something, I guess) and the nurse asking the questions insisted on writing "none."

I aso have a book called Pagan Pathways. It talks about a lot of different traditions and Pagan religions and I think it's absolutely fascinating.

Btw, I thought I should point out that this is NOT Wicca or anywhere close to it in either belief or practice (ok, the fluff bunnies in s4 who rejected Willow at college have been known to exist and "Blessed Be" does get said...)

I don't really fall into any religious category, but there are definitely aspects of Wicca I completely agree with and put into use in my every day life. As others have mentioned, Scott Cunningham is an excellent choice. I would personally recommend Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner by Cunningham -- as it's a great place to start.
