El Snorkeling In Le Ocean!
#1
(I know it's not really a sport, but I didn't know where else to put this.)

This past June I was offered to go swimming with a guy from work who swam often. I've never really been swimming in the ocean like this before and I was nervous at first 'cause of all the talk of dangerous sea creatures and such. Long story short, I grew to love going snorkeling and looking at all the fishies and such. I haven't been able to take it a step further and try for my divers license due to most of my time being taken up by work, but I've been content with what I have now. I'm still learning about some things and better equipment to use while free diving and a few months ago I bought a cheap little underwater camera so I could share some pics with whoever, and so I will do so for you guys. They aren't that good, I haven't gotten used to the camera yet, but at least I get to show you guys a bit of what underwater Okinawa looks like. Hope you likey!

Also, does anyone else enjoy diving and photography and such? What types of cameras do you all use? Scuba dive, free dive, snorkel? Any cool places visited?

I really like your post and love to read it on gayspank.

Maybe i cant be an authority; i live in a high land desert; Colorado US, long way both vertically horizontal form any water. I love to sportbike tho.

either ScubaDive, freeDive snorkel or sportbike concentrate on:
-safety gear to remedial possible risk; alternate 3 minute air supply, active (dive knife) passive fish repellants, gps based radio beacon, gloves
-thermal gear
-join a dive organization, forum, straight or gay locate friends to do it with.

ScubaDive is expen$ive. extended exposure has a health degradation?

as far as a camera dont forget the basics; super low light, objects move relative slow speed, colors are different too.

Unfortunately the ocean off the coast here is pretty darn cold, And I never made it to a more tropical sea.

I did do snorkeling (no tank) diving in fresh water lakes long, long ago.

I had a partial dream of diving the Great Barrier Reef, but never got to the land down under when I was young enough.

Your pictures are nice for a cheap camera. I do not know how much you want to invest, but operating 'better' cameras can be an expensive proposition, especially the ones that still use film.

I imagine that scuba equipment can run a pretty penny.

Sweet pictures! Japan has great reefs to snorkel and dive. If you loved that, you should get certified to dive. I did about ten years ago, and love it! We go to cozumel every other year and diving is a different world, you get to go deeper and stay down, its pricey to start, but once you get equipment and gear, you'll never look back. Again, great pictures
