I am prone to getting canker sores. Cold sores (outside the mouth) are contagious (herpes). Canker sores are inside the mouth and NOT contagious. However, they are very painful and can cause headaches and fever.

When I get them, it hurts to eat and (if they're really bad) even breathe. Hence, I can get cranky.
