Still have that Ubuntu system & it gets occasionally, But also have a couple others with different versions of windows .. those get used more.

I too would be fine with Coldplay, I don't know Sweet Sensation, but Date....as long as its not elevator music(ie:classical), or opera, or some slow mellow stuff.

Deal. Date. I just finished watching the two MVs you posted. Remind me of the old days back in 90s when Mariah Carey and Witney Huston dominated the whole musical industry.

Here are two from Coldplay

Adventures of a Lifetime

My friend, on the other side, has Ubuntu regularly but windows occasionally. He studies computer science and runs Unix(Is that the word? Like it has no interface but lines of codes) on his ThinkPad. He also installed the "cow say" on the terminal of my MacBook Pro, which is fun. He also told me that Java is the shitty version of C++

Do I need to leave another question here since I already had one before? Well, I'll leave one in case of any discontinuity.

I don't watch TV very often. D/H?

Ahh yes...the 'terminal' or 'command' screen, what you are seeing there on his computer is the underlying operating system. The graphical interface is just that an: interface.
I had to do a fair bit in there when getting my Ubuntu setup, because the settings I needed to change simply were not there in the graphical interface.

True Unix is its own operating system, but mainly used on business servers. In his case it would still be Ubuntu (or by the more general term: Linux).

When I was young there was no graphic interfaces - PC's had DOS (as did Apple, though the 2 had differences), and Businesses/Colleges/Government had Unix or Vax .. they were all 'text only' as far as the basic operating system. .. Oh and stuff like a mouse didn't exist(for general use)..same for the internet!

(Since I can probably count on one hand the number of times I've even turned on my TV this year) Date!!

I prefer a good old incandescent lightbulb over one of those spiral CFL's!
But I do also like the older fluorescent's that are 4-foot long strip. (maybe I'm just old-fashioned when it comes to lighting )

I think what he's installed on his ThinkPad is DOS (or maybe he doesn't even need to install one). And he would explain to me some technical terms like "complied language" and "scripting language" while I was cooking in the kitchen...Well I forgot the difference...

Date, I spend days at the library too...so I can study in peace, far from the noisy hell that is my home.

I'm a hairy twink, date or hate?
