Many plants used to make tea come from East and South Asia, where the drink was pronounced cha. Just like how- here's another one, then- the word hurricane comes from the name of one of the Taino and Carib gods, Jurican (god of storms). But others say it comes from the Mayan god Hurakan (also the god of storms). Iguana also comes from Taino vocabulary... it means green lizard haha
