Pop or Soda?
#1
Growing up on the west coast in the U.S. I have always called those famous carbonated beverages, Soda. Living in the midwest though there is a constant inconsistency.

My ex-roommate and I would have the debate, POP or SODA... I would call it soda, she would call it pop. There was no compromise in calling it soda pop either! LOL. Big Grin

What do you guys and gals say? Do you call it pop, soda, or something else?

Coke, Pepsi, mountain due... whatever the name of the product is.

Soda only when discussing carbonated drinks in general, and then its usually for the benefit of who I am talking to, if I know you come from back east where pop is used, I will use the word pop. If I know you are from even further east, I will say fizzy drinks to keep the confusion to a minimum.
