although i cannot understand how you can bear to live in a room so white, i think a red/purplish colour would go well with the cream colours and the oak/maple furniture

i suppose, cream is definintely better than white.

white is too cold, clinical and plain.

yea, but i think a darker colour helps balance it out, but then again its down to personal taste.
blue could be a nice colour to go with it.

blue is currently the colour of my room, three walls are light blue and one wall is a dark blue. and the carpet is blue. i ment to repaint it awhile ago but i couldnt think of any nice colours so i just deicided to leave it and focus on changing the wardrobes to somthing better.

what about a light brownish/goldish colour.
