And now I'm going to have the theme to the Waltons running through my head for the rest of the day, thanks a lot! :-)

Bowyn Aerrow, another thing that occurred to me tonight...

>>She gets two sons. You get another mother.

I fail to see the problem in that.<<

well, the problem is

she's not *my* mother. my mother is dead. she has not been in the past, will not be in the present, and will never be in the future, my own blood mother.

can't reconcile that. can you now, perhaps, see a problem?

I am glad you were kind enough, and have reached a point of peace, to respond. Thank you.

But she's not and never will be my mother. My mother's name was Pam. Her name is not Pam.

I respect my mother's memory. I don't need a surrogate replacement, particularly because my mother was an agnostic and this woman is an evangelical Christian who will never stop at dissapproving of homosexuality...

My mom would have welcomed him into her home as my partner, male or female. His mom would be telling us we were committing a sin.

Thanks though

my mom welcomed my partner into her home, at the time years ago, with a smile and a place at the table. she really didn't care if we were two guys or me and a girl, she always said she just wanted me to be happy with whoever I settled down with.

we cooked Thanksgiving dinner for her so she wouldn't have to. If I do say so myself, we set the table with flair...

the guy I am talking about's mom would thwok me upside the head with a Bible and try to give me all that fundamentalist **** Christian **** and try to drive me away from her son so he could marry a nice girl and give her a lot of fundamentalist, evangelical Christian children.

...if my own mom were she alive would probably have leapt across the table and strangled his.

I appreciate the analogy. Your post was beautiful, man. It was loving and it's beautiful ya'll have found this peace.

but I'll not go to gay conversion therapy to become straight... his mother considers me a threat to his eventual conversion to protestant fundamentalist evangelical Christianity so that he wouldn't be gay anymore.

peace bro

I didn't think he'd actually be that... rude. But, I learn something new every day.

even on Family Guy, Brian said... "every good mother knows when it's time for her babies to leave the nest."

I am quoting a cartoon dog on an Internet forum... maybe I am quoting Seth MacFrarlane.

again, appreciate folks taking the time out to comment, thank you.

guess the question has become moot anyway as the guy, well, he fucked up man, as far as I'm concerned he did something that will get him dropped kicked into the next county from my house, so all of the other issues don't really matter anymore.

I wasn't feeling well, I've finally thrown off this damn flu, but at the time he was feeling frisky, I said no. He wouldn't let it drop, and I said, as politely and tactfully as I could, honey please I don't feel good right now. He knew I had the flu. He wouldn't let it drop. I said NO. He pouted, then decided he was going to go up to the adult bookstore and find a trick.

I'm no prude and our sex life has been great. Seems like he could have, oh I don't know, offered to make me some chicken soup or maybe bring up a movie for us to cuddle up and watch? I would have done that for him, or made sure he had a blanket.

He was more like "well, what about MY needs?"

Hasta la vista, baby. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.

Sheesh. What does it take to find a good man who thinks of something more out of life than the gratification of his fucking schlong...

wow that is f up, he should be mature enough and have common sense to take care of someone who is sick. Then to go find a trick at a bookstore in the midst of this is unbelievable, unless you're ok with it
