Drag Queens
#21
Well, I see two kinds of drag queens.

1) The private individual who enjoys wearing women's clothing. I don't judge this person. We all have a right to live in freedom. It's just not MY thing.

2) The professional who performs in public. This I see as "performance art" and as such some are better at it than others. While I can appreciate someone's talent and success, again, it's just not my thing. Sort of like rap music. I know there is good rap music and bad rap music, but either way, I'm not gonna pay for it.

All that said, my BF and his friends LOVE this stuff so occasionally I get "dragged" along to watch a show....

That being said i would totally dress as Alphonse Elric if I was 6" taller. Lol

Oh my google...I'm an otaku.

Before I ever saw a drag person or show, I felt nervous about them. Not sure why...unknown things perhaps. One act just happened to land in a pub I was at on the night of my birthday. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice guy too,

Just to clarify things, if a trans person is dressing a certain way to "pass" as their gender identity, then they are not doing drag.

I don't hate them at all. Being brave enough to be yourself.. i love them because of that. But if you're talking about the sexual attractiveness, then im gonna say no. I'm gay. I am not into girls.

all of the ones i have met have been ... not very nice , at least to me . and a friend of mine told a drag queen that she really loved his boots . he looked at her like she was the most disgusting thing he'd ever seen and told her to fuck off . so that definitely lessened my opinion of him ~

but i'm sure there are ones who are lovely :3
like with any group , there are gonna be nice people and horrible people . i've just been unlucky in that i've only met the bastard types ~ hah

Don't we get enough of this sort of hate and bigotry from outside the community?

Your post comes across as extremely disrespectful and is very offensive.

We are not like that here in Gayspeak, we are supportive and embrace our differences, so I would urge you to learn tolerance QUICKLY or reconsider your membership here as this one comment will have alienated you to approximately 99.9% of us.

Still I think he has a right to not like them but still where's the love?
If you've got nothing nice to say don't say anything at all. We have love for all our queer comrades.

Of course, but there is a very fine line between not liking and hatred leading into bigotry, unfortunately that comment walks the line slipping toward the hatred side.
