What is tajin?

In the bag of apples there are two packets of a product called"tajin"

It is with apples what do I do with it besides chuck it?

From what I found it has chili peppers, I don't understand the connection between apples and chili-peppers.

I have no idea why it's with apples, probably just a mistake.

And I generally like to make my own seasonings (or get in pure form, like cayenne powder, onion powder, etc), so I can't say anything about it...'course even if I could I could only speak for myself and those who try my cooking.

I suppose if I got it then I'd try it on like my Mexican chicken enchiladas or some similar dish. Or if I was lazy, some Mexican takeout.

This is going to sound absolutely racist, but I had a coworker that immigrated from Mexico, and every time she talked about fruit, she mentioned adding cayenne powder, lime juice and salt, showering the description with glittering adjectives like, "oh my gosh...so good."

okay, strudel, yes, but that's it I don't put fruit in cooked meals, I love it fresh.
