So basically, I am gay, but when I look at hot guys, I think they are cute and everything, but I don't get a boner or anything. Like I'll see a youtube video of a gay couple kissing or something and that will do it, but not if it is just a picture. Case in point, I was watching a video of a gay couple who were really adorable, and they had a roommate who was really cute, but that was the extent of it. Is there something wrong with me or what?

Nothing wrong with you at all and pictures of "hot" men and women don't really do anything for me unless I'm already in a certain mood. I can acknowledge their beauty to be sure, but anything more depends very strongly on the mood I'm in. Everyone is different and has different triggers for how they react to certain things like that. There are zero things wrong with you in that regard.

There are even straight guys like that (that is, they need more than a pic or crude porn to be turned on by a woman). And they get by just fine, are as happy as anyone else (sometimes more so), so I don't see anything wrong with it.

Hello, LivingProof, and to GaySpeak. As a gay man you have probably learnt to curb your desires and libido to a certain extent, learnt not to show your appreciation of another male and not to pop a boner at anyone and everyone you see. I'd say you're in pretty good control of your body. It is also possible that you have a low sex drive or that you need to be stimulated in different ways than visual ones. However, this can be unlearnt, to some extent, when in a context where you feel in control and not at risk of being caught or endangered. After all, the sexual act is an intimate act, so maybe it's just that the situation is not so intimate with just pictures. You'll figure it out. I doubt that you're abnormal. If it starts bothering you, then maybe discuss this with your doctor? Are you on drugs of any sort, antidepressants etc...? They can make you very limp.

I geuss it can depend. There are times when watching guys makeout or otherwise does nothing for me either....or pictures. It depends on mood for me also.
