Embassytown by China Mieville. Another weird cosmology to wrap my brain around. I'd love to know where he get's his inspiration from.

wintermoon Wrote:The Jungle by Upton Sinclair The beginning is stronger than the end though, it gets a little too preachy and dissolves any semblance of being a novel and becomes a straightforward political tract. And I'm entirely sympathetic to Sinclair's politics, but it does weaken the novel overall. monk Wrote:The Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes - Arthur Conan Doyle Some of the stories are fun, but I think the major appeal of Holmes is the campy ridiculousness of the stories. Many of the stories in that collection are rather weak though, you should try out the book length Sign of Four, it's not bad.

Profits of War : Inside the Secret U.S.-Israeli Arms Network by Ari Ben-Menashe.
Rereading this one , discussed it with a friend who has just finished reading it and he brought up some things I can't remember.

I'm a great re-reader - it's like visiting an old friend.

Finally got a hold of simulation simulacra from Baudrillard. I never knew porn could be related to the McDonalds cheeseburger picture advertisements. But, it totally is in terms of his arguments presented in his book. It's a postmodern must!
