Dahmer's Not Dead by Edward Lee
I've had quite a few people recommend me Lee's work....gotta say I'm not very impressed. The plot itself is interesting enough, but the man cant write dialogue a whit, and every other sentence seems peppered with unneeded profanity. I have no problems with profanity personally, but when every other word out of the characters' mouth is "fuck" or "shit" it does not sound realistic to me....more like the author is a 12 year old boy who gets a kick saying "naughty" words. I'll be passing on his work in the future if the rest of his writing is as mediocre as this book.

Notes From the Underground by Dostoyevsky. I needed a classic to wash the bad taste of Edward Lee out of my mouth. That was an ordeal let me tell you

Surely I'm not the only one here reading something new?
I'm now actually beta-reading a friend's manuscript. Its called "Lost Humanity" and is his first attempt at writing a novel.

Just finished The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman. Currently reading Chronicle of a Death Foretold by Gabriel Garcia Marquez for school. Also thinking of starting The Spiderwick Chronicles again.
