I'm reading Seize the Night by Dean Koontz.... GREAT BOOK!!

Anyone else sampled Splatterpunk? I finished Ed Lee's The Pig/The House last night and WoW totally gruesome stuff! Onto John Farris Son of the Endless Night and Scott Smith's The Ruins!
•
Just finished Stephen Fry's The Liar - fab if a little disorientating at times.
Currently reading Belle De Jour's Intimate Adventures of a London Call Girl
(otherwise known as secret diary of a call girl).
Terribly intellectually challenging!!! It good - not as graphic as some of the other books I have read (eg, girl with a one track mind, sleeping around, diary of a married call girl) but somewhat glamourises prostitution. Often makes me think there might be good money to be made.........
I do also read 'proper' books (no offence to the autheros of abovementioned but I mean not porn!!)
I really enjoy Kathy Reichs, Ben Elton and Jeremy Clarkson stuff.
Has anyone on here read Catch22? Have heard so many people recommend it as a book to read before you die but I really can't get into it - got to about chapter 3 or so before giving up!!! Is it worth persevering?

Finally finished the Rushdie a few weeks ago ... it was worth the perseverance and I went straight back and read the beginning again!
Since then have read Vikram Seth's The Golden Gate, brilliant novel written in sonnet form. Astonishing achievement.
Just started Alain de Botton's How Proust Can Change Your Life.
