The Hobbit - J.R.R. Tolkien
I was told it wasn´t as good as the trilogy, which I bought but was unable to start because the partner moved me to Fort Lauderdale and had to leave the books in México, but let´s see how it goes.

Just finished 'The Diary of Lady Murasaki'. Some of the overly detailed descriptions of clothing can get tedious but once she starts reflecting on herself as well as her future things get really moving. Just the fact that a woman who lived her life about 1000 years before my birth is sharing her deepest thoughts with me is bizarre.
“Well, we never expected this!" they all say. "No one liked her. They all said she was pretentious, awkward, difficult to approach, prickly, too fond of her tales, haughty, prone to versifying, disdainful, cantankerous, and scornful. But when you meet her, she is strangely meek, a completely different person altogether!"
How embarrassing! Do they really look upon me as a dull thing, I wonder? But I am what I am.”
