Just finished "Torment Saint: The Life of Elliott Smith." That was really depressing. I was worried that the book was going to glorify the whole "live fast, die young" principle, but the fact that it didn't, that it showed that Smith probably had much more to give to the world, was even more frustrating. Just to think of all the records that could have been.....

One of my favorite authors. He certainly has an obsession for trains, rubbish and tentacled sea creatures, and has no problem creating bizarre worlds to let his imagination run riot on. Has a strange fascination for the ampersand too...
