I'm reading Disciple of the Flames, a book by Timm Muth that I'm publishing.

Angel in the Whirlwind. It's about the American Revolution, something I'm not educated enough on. It does a good job of presenting both sides of the argument: American and British. Both sides had reasonable expectations on how the colonies should've behaved/been treated after the French and Indian war, but eventually it just turned into a big pissing contest. The crown was being an overly strict parental figure that began dishing out orders more to show who's boss, and America was acting like sullen teenagers who couldn't understand why they couldn't have the car on Friday night...

That's the way I understand it at least.

I'm reading the first book in the Game of Thrones series. It's pretty good so far, but I hope the characterization will get deeper and more thorough. I swithced from the TV series to the books for that very reason, but so far I feel like I haven't gotten that much out of it.

Just finished Dirty Kiss by Rhys Ford and jumped right into Dirty Secret. But I switch off repeatedly to The Fifth Element (Don Miguel Ruiz, Don Jose Ruiz) as well as The Voice of Knowledge (D M Ruiz) to refocus my mind and energies. Then back to lighter m/m stuff. Add a dash of cookbooks and self-teaching sign language books and, ugh, Visual Basic for Excel references.
