What did you want to be???
#31
04 till 05 I remember that I wanted to become an adult to be able to touch the ceiling...

So I wanted to become a stuntman, but I didn't want to wait to be an adult so I tried to reach the ceiling by climbing the book shelf... and my first vocational career collapsed on the floor.

Then I anounced my parents I wanted to become a parachutist*: they took it very seriously and there was no longer windows handles ten minutes after, and for one year (we lived on the 8th floor lol)...

When I was about 10, I wanted to be a Park Ranger. Too bad that today it's not a decent wage and that they're eligible for food stamps. One hell of an office to work in though!

A few years later I started to get into theatre. Everyone said I'd be a great actor, but I always wanted to work backstage. I enjoyed about 8 years doing theatrical lighting. This included set design, light rigging, coordinating scenes with the directors, and operating the boards during the shows. Oh what fun that was. Unfortunately without becoming well known, it had a poor wage as well.

I ended up being an automotive technician specializing in Porsche. It pays the bills.

I wanted to be an actor until I realized it was only because I didn't want to be myself.

Somewhere around Year 1 (6/7 years old) in primary school.

My teacher asked for everyone's ambition. Each student took turn to speak up. "I want to be a doctor. I want to be a scientist. I want to be an astronaut..."

Then it was my turn. "I would like to be a traditional dancer."

I was so proud with my ambition.

But my classmates and teacher didn't seem to agree with my future plan. The class erupted in laughter.

Fast forward. Present. I may not be a professional dancer but I still dance. Happily ever after.

When I was a kid I wanted to sail our little 19' wooden sailboat around the world.
For most of my pre-teen early teen years I wanted to be a Pygmy, Aborigine, dropped naked from a plane into the Amazon to be taken in by a tribe. I really wanted most to be a Pygmy but I just kept getting taller and taller. ( this is actually true)

As a teen a psychologist that specialized in sociopaths...if that's even possible LoL

Im amazed at how many people wanted a medical profession!

Im also amazed that nobody had any political ambitions, such as President.
What would that be like? A same sex couple in the White House!

Hmmmmmm, would they change the name to the Pink House? LOL
