Crushing on a hook up ..
#1
So, I need some advice about a guy (typical, right lol). Anyway, he and I met online and hooked up a couple of times. He doesn't live in my city and was just visiting for work, which was perfect. We ended up hitting it off really well; it was like fireworks, but we both knew it was for a limited time only. So he leaves and was not supposed to be coming back until November, and i was okay with that and went on with life, but he ends coming back the next week and we we're back in the sack within a few hours of him getting here. We would stay up and chat until 3-4 am in the morning and cuddle the whole night (it was heaven). So I'm fine and dandy knowing he is going back but the more we hang out the more I begin like him. He makes me laugh a lot, he's weird in a cute way, and I really enjoyed the time we spent together.. He tells me he is leaving on Thursday so we try and make the most of every night together. Then things get ugly... He surprised me on valentine's day with roses. Now, I was fine until then. I was okay with him leaving but by that last day something had changed... It's like he took a price of me back home with him... I miss him like crazy and I don't know what to do. Do I tell him, or does that make me sound crazy and desperate? Like I said, there were no unrealistic expectations about our situation; We don't live in the same city. Though he is only 2.5 hours away, how do I convey to him that I want to see him again. I don't even know if he would be into it. I just need some advice before I turn some Adele on and then it's all down hill from there. Lol

2.5 hours is not a big drive, tell him you will do this Friday

Thanks for the advice! So, Just say, "hey I want to come visit you this weekend."? I don't want him to think I like him or something :p but really, wouldn't that have the potential to come across as clingy? We've only known each other for 2 weeks. Asking to stay with him for the weekend seems like a big step.

Hahaha I've done this before, had a huge crush on this 'hook up' guy who was about an hour and a half away by plane. Like you said, it was fireworks but he wasn't looking for anything, so I texted him and told him how I felt, wore him down :3 and we dated for 4 months xD yours sounds a lot easier, I had to take a plane every week to see him Big GrinD

That's inspiring! Thank you for sharing! I'm going to try this. Better to try and fail than to keep wondering!

To paraphrase Forrest Gump - Life happens.

It seems that what has taken place is that one (perhaps) both hearts have tripped and are now falling, plummeting out of control into that horrid miasma we call 'love'.

Red roses are traditionally indicative of 'love'. Carnations are more typical of 'like'.

So I would say that unless he is an idiot and has no idea what flower language is, that he has some stronger feelings as like you.

2.5 hours drive is not that far. its um, only two and half hours away.

I would suggest you talk to him, face to face sometime and put out there what you are feeling.

IF this is 'it' and you two are heading for matrimony... then that 2.5 hour difference will be worked out.

My ex of 14 years drove 108 miles to and 108 from a job in the Big City for 12 years... 5 days a week. So its a commute that is feasible. Insane perhaps, but feasible.
