Flute?! That's awesome!!
My instructors fight and go between tenor and baritone for me but I enjoy the robust songs baritones get to sing LoL
I need to take more piano I still have issues playing with correct hand positions and all that craziness with scales LoL

What do you play/sing? Just giving you a warning, being a music major is SO hard. I thought it would be a breeze. It will be worth it in the end though~ I couldn't be a high school band director.... I'd go crazy lol

I'm a bass-baritone myself. I'm not classically trained but I have a thing for theater. I mostly sing for my own benefit, alone.

Practice them as fast as you can correctly, and go faster. That is what my teacher is making us do, its so backwards from what I've heard in the past lol.

Hi Logan.

Welcome to the site.

If you do take up running may I suggest taking it slow at first. It is a great sport/exercise. Make sure you are fitted with the proper shoes as well. I lost a lot of weight by running (and changing my life style/eating habits). I would walk half a block, run half a block, etc... build up like that...

At the moment my fav shoes are the New Balance Minimus line!

I am also a cyclist and highly recommend that too.

that's super cool, right now I don't have any singing/music lessons. I did a lot early on and need my basics XD
I wish I had more music theory classes LoL

Hello and Welcome to GS.
Always great to hear of one with a good ear and a wide range for appreciation of music!
Myself, I pretty much listen to all styles of music. I can't get enough.

My primary instrument is organ, I also play piano, clarinet, and sing bass. I know music is a hard major- I was just talking with the organ professor at Ithaca and the repertoire requirements are gonna kill me Tongue It'll be fun though

And I know I'm hoping to end up as a college professor, not secondary ed, being with kids all day would make me crazier than I already am

And I know scales are the bane of my existence
