Lube for sensitive skin/anus

No, but others recommended some petroleum and other oil based lubricants.

Silicon and water based lubricants are safe with condoms (silicon lubes should not be used with silicon sex toys though). It's hard to say what might be in those silicon lubes, but astroglide stings in small cuts because it is a bit acidic like peroxide.

That last point is an important one. I think I failed to mention it because the original question only mentioned lubing his finger. Condom use was never implied, but I admit, it's good advice.

Yea, I know about the silicon toys issue and the issue with petroleum jelly and condoms. Unfortunately, the silicone lube and astroglide (its the normal stuff, not flavored) just aren't working.

I think I'll try the "all natural" water based products and see what happens. Undecided

Recently I was reading about what happened to Glenn Scarpelli (former child actor and teen idol fron One Day at a Time) apparently he and his partner live in Sedona, Arizona where they run a local cable channel called "Sedona Now" and manufactur a personal lubricant called "Green Love Lube". He says it's 95% organic and Hypo-allergenic (it's aloe based).
Unfortunately I Googled it and can't find a single site that sells it.

So maybe you should look for another aloe-based or organic lube (apparently the lube industry has stringent requirements for calling something organic).
Just don't confuse organic with "all-natural".
Dirt is all natural, so is arsenic.

Mineral Oil?? You can even pick your viscosity. The extra heavy stuff is fun.

Crisco?? Gotta love the fister's classic.

I personally HATE things like KY or Astro-glide....they get sticky after a while.

As far as silicone-based goes, WET Platinum is the best by far, IMO.

There may be some lubes that have vitamin E and also aloe vera, which might be worth trying.

CTD89 Wrote:My BF says the lubes we have sting "down there." When I just use my finger with no lube it's no problem. When I use one of the below, he says it stings (the actual sex/fingering feels good but not the lube). First I had the cheap stuff: astroglide [water based]. He said that stung so I moved up into fancier lubes, silicone. Both pjur back door and Swiss navy silicone lubes. I had read that silicone lubes were less irritating, but not for him (ugh!)!

I thought the water based were a problem because of the glycerine. I don't believe those two silicone lubes have glycerine (although the silicone ingredients like dimethicone could be causing a sting too I guess.) I was thinking of trying one of the "all natural" Swiss navy water based lubes, but I just don't know what to do! Any suggestions?

Hey, maybe he's allergic to rubber, ie latex condoms? Some people are allergic to them, then it would become stinging. Are you using condoms? There are other sorts of condoms, vinyl I believe, that are available, so try those.

No, they should be ok to use with condoms. Otherwise, they don't make sense. There's also one called Liquid Silk (is that available in the US?)

It tends to be best sticking with water based lubes.
Unless you plan to clean all your nooks and crannies right after intercourse.
As other lubes can dry out and leave residues that can irritate the skin, anus, ETC.

That's just going from what I've heard.

Personally I've suffered the stinging/burning sensations that have been caused by lube.
What both my partner and I worked through the list of water based lubes onto silicone etc and all still caused the same sensations unfortunately.
What really works great for us is Vaseline (Petroleum Jelly) we discovered it while fooling around in the pool, while it may be extremely messy on the bed it really is fantastic stuff and hasn't caused any irritation what so ever.
Apart from that id suggest just using spit, works for me.
