I'm studying engineering in microelectronics and embedded systems.

Obviously, discuss with other people, make friends, and spend good time Smile

It's the deformation of many pseudos I used when I started in french gay forums, that doesn't make sense because I used to hide my sexual orientation, and gave random pseudonymes in which nobody could recognize me Big Grin

You live in France apparently. Are you French? If not, how long have you lived there? Do you enjoy living here?

The proper English phrase is HAVE a good time (not spend, sorry Elefant) but, OK so your handle is a little strange but made up of various handles you've used... nothing special. It sounded like a special creature from the Lord of the Rings or some such novel. Yes I live in France, and have lived here all my life. I am French. I enjoy living here and enjoy it more now that we can officially marry.... 14th country to adopt equal marriage... wow! How I've waited for this to happen! Do you think you might marry some day too?

Haha, you're clever; most people can only think of the body art thing... And you are right it is related to the Belgian Monarchy but it was really a mistake on my part when I started using this handle... mistook a Prince Albert for a "boner". Don't even know why I wanted to be called by an erection. Weird, isn't it? That was at a time when I did not want my sexual orientation known either.... I've moved on since.

Thank you for correcting me Wink

Well, I'd say that in the XXIth century, it's a normal thing to get rights to marry as long as France is said the "Human Right Country" and there was no "against" legitime arguments . And I found the majority favorable was not that overwhelming.
But the Taubira speech was exceptional!

I'm more reached by the homophobic reactions it generated than the right in itself. Well I'm aware I say that maybe because I'm young and it's more gay people of your generation who fighted to get this right but still...

Still don't know if I'll get married. That will depend on the situation and on the advantages I can take of it. Get married to get married, I really don't see the interest.

And you ? You would marry ? For traditions or for real advantages ?

Most people get married because it's a contract, whatever you put in it, it's a social contract, not just a set of advantages... Yes, I see the point in getting married. I never thought it would be possible, but I don't see why not? My partner and I are waiting for England to clean up its act too... Although a UK civil partnership would be the almost equivalent of our equal marriage. Before that, the PACS was NOT the same things as a UK civil partnership... The UK is also debating the fact of giving everyone equal marriage rights but UKIP seems to want the conservatives of the UK to remove this right from gay couples (on what sensible and reasonable grounds????? other than the fact that they don't LIKE it???)

I understand your point of view. Nonetheless, except for succession rights or in order to adopt a child, I see more drawbacks than advantages (hetero as gay marriage). But I'm happy for the principle that gay couples have the choice now ! Smile
