This is an excellent place to make friends. It seems that these forums specific avoid solicitation for sex, which I appreciate a lot! And everyone here seems fairly nice, so it's a decent place to make friends.

Well, Londoner, I've had a couple of relationships, one a straight one, and have managed to enjoy living with someone... now I'd like to protect my partner and make sure my possessions go to someone when I die. I have thought of the separation of possessions clause in case something negative happens (not death)... but for the moment I don't know what I'd be doing. It seems it's the right way to go, for now.

I've been looking for some time for a gay site where I can look for friends, not one where everyone is obsessed with sex. Is this the one?

I was born and bred in London but have lived outside for more time than I have lived in the UK. I came from a fairly large family of eight but I'm the only one left now.

It's made more difficult because of my age; 76. Yes, seventy six. Apart from a few close friends, no one knows my real age simply because I look considerably younger than I am. I don't say that but my friends do. I don't behave like a 76 year old. I'm physically active and even some of my younger (straight) friends sometimes have difficulty keeping up with me. My small circle of friends comprises both men and women all of whom are always much younger than I simply because I have absolutely nothing in common with people of my own age.

I live in Spain but am seriously thinking of relocating back to London and am presently looking for a flat in the Highbury and Islington area. I do make periodic visits to London and it would be nice to make new friends, male or female, gay or straight as long as you accept me as I am, who share similar interests. For those see my profile. I would like to make friends that I can see in person but don't discount pen friends but be warned, I do tend to write rather long e-mails!

I just turned 50 this year, and other people think Im in my late 20's or late 30's!!!

I too have struggled for YEARS to find a decent place to meet online pals and friends, and they have all been nothing more than game players, liars, cheats, and frauds.

I happened to come across this site and thought it was some of the same old BS. I went ahead and gave it a try anyway, and to my shock, this was the place I had been looking for all along!!! Decent people with working brains who can hold a conversation ABOVE the waist line!!!!

I even have a chat buddy on here now! Thats awesome.

I envy you, being able to travel and live in nice places like London and Spain. Im stuck where I am at unfortunately, otherwise I would love to travel around and meet some of these people on here.

Its a nice place to be. Sometimes its busy, sometimes not. There is usually always something interesting on the thread line.

And, as you can see, I write a lot too. I have my "soapboxes" which I get on sometimes.

Everybody here is nice. We might not see eye to eye on some stuff now and then, but these guys are intelligent enough to know we all have different views and they dont stay mad for long. They are great like that.

being married dosnt change the relationship in any real or imaginary way. you have to really really want to be with someone.

Hi MisterTinkles. Glad that you too have found this site as positive as I have, free of harassment from sexual predators. If I were looking for sex there are plenty of site that provide that but here it seems one can have intelligent conversations with like minded people.

I started to travel when I was 20 when I travelled to New Zealand and stayed five years. Since then I have visited many countries, been round the world three times. My favourite country is the now sadly embroiled Syria and I will never return there. Both the country and the people were fantastic, I am so sad about what has happened to the country.

My attitude to travel is that I should do it no matter what the cost and while I still have the physical fitness. If I don't then I may well regret it.
