Just curious, no offense meant by this question...

But why "no sex"? Have you just not met anyone worthy?
Or are you like me? I dont find all the idiots out there attractive at all, so my "sex drive" has pretty much shriveled up into nothing. Lots of pretty faces out there, but I like some brains behind those faces.

Welcome Londoner. Like any forum/chat site, you will get out of it what you put into it. Having said that, there are some awesome people here. A few nutjobs too (I include myself in that), but all in all, I think that GS has a higher quality of people. Maybe that's because we eat the bad ones.

Hi MisterTinkles: Legitimate question. One of the reasons is my age. I simply just don't function as when I did 20 years ago. It's something that one just has to acccept when age creeps up on you. I've tried bottoming but it just doesn't work for me and topping becomes more and more difficult even with the aid of Cialis. My condition wasn't aided by a stupid surgeon who three years ago, attempting to remove a kidney stone, succeeded in pushing it right to the bottom of my kidney and left me bleeding profusely. I'm not sure if it has been a physical manifestation or psychological, whatever, it has had a profound effect on me.

Ouch!!! What a crackpot some Dr.s are. Ive recently had to change doctors because my last one had evil bitches in his billing department...they kept trying to extort money out of me when the Dr. told me "no charge". So I turned them into the state and now I have to find another Dr.

I would think wisdom and realization is a better reason for "no sex"..... LOL.

I understand though. Its difficult having a 17 year old mind in an old mans body sometimes. For me anyway. Ive never been too keen on sex anyway. I prefer mental stimulation and hugging. A good constructive argument and some huggin and kissin suits me just fine.

Although you have a few years on me, I know the challenges that being gay brought in the 80's. I can only imagine some of the challenges and changes you've seen over the years. You can start that on another thread :-)

Like you I'm a bit of a wanderer. The closest I've been to Spain is Portugal where l lived for 4 years in the mid 80's. Wonderful place back then. Recently went back for the first time in 20 years to find it horribly commercialised north of Lisbon where I used to live. Couldn't even find my old house, just a concrete jungle of apartment blocks.

I was in London on Tuesday having just come back from a few months in Sydney, and as much as l like London, it just strikes me as looking like an old book these days. Old, worn out and dog-eared lol.

Hello Olderbutwiser.

I'ts unfortunate that age doesn't necessarily bring experience with it. I came to Spain in 1967 when Franco was still alive. Then homosexuality was officially a criminal offence under the law known as "Social Danger" in spite of the fact of course that the whole of the Franco regime must have been swarming with closeted gays. Anyway, the penalty was prison and "social rehabilitation that could include electric shock treatment. Probably torture also. So, don't wonder that I was in the closet myself for so many years.

I've spoken to Spanish guys and they mostly, have said the same sort of thing; that I must have much more experience then they. Well no, the exact opposite is true. Some young guys I have known have crammed more experience in to their young lives that I have done in the whole of mine.

As far as London is concerned, every time I go back something has changed, sometimes for the better, sometimes worse, but whatever, it is a vibrant city and "my" area, Islington, has many advantages. It has a permanent "buzz" and it's transport links are very good Also, as I've said in a previous post, for me, London is the cultural capital of Europe. Nowhere else would you find such variety.
