Feminism and hatred towards feminism

Women are awesome! That is all.

I don't really like the gender role game. I personally think its awesome when a woman is a straight up bas ass, and I love it when a man can get in touch with his feminine side and express his feelings. Its about balancing your strength and your sensitive side. Men and women have their difference, but we are all human. In the end, I don't judge someone based on their gender, race, sexual orientation etc. I judge a person based on how they treat other people.

lol gotta love people that really dont have a leg to stand on for a rebuttle...they just resort to personal insults.

Classy.

Just because someone stands up for alittle moral decency and standards doesnt make them full of themselves.

Is it really any surprise that gay guys come here complaining about not being able to find stable relationships and then in the next breath they say something about, "well Ive been on grindr for one night stands alot" etc or something to that effect. Would you pay 200,000$ for a car that has 100k miles on it, needed 4 new tires, and a new engine? No? Then why would you want a partner thats has that many miles on him?

Why not leave sex out of it and judge them as people instead? If you judge someone based on sex, you're being as shallow as they are. Classy indeed. If you're going to be shallow, then fine. Just don't act like you're any better. Actually, I'm not sure why I'm posting this here. It's not really a feminism comment. Oh well. You get to see me speak my mind anyways.

Because I dont think its wrong to judge people based on how much sex they have. Its a behavior. its something that they can control if they so choose to do so. Its the same as any other behavior you judge people by whether it be smoking too much or drinking to much or whoring around too much. But because some activities people do I choose not to associate with them because of it. If judging someone based on their behavior is shallow then everyone in the world is completely shallow. We all know its not shallow though. Youre just trying to find a way to justify a behavior that alot of society deems inappropriate.

Haha, I couldn't quote you because the site wouldn't let me somehow but @ Kawaiikitty:

You still haven't explained why it's indecent to be promiscuous and why we need to show self-restraint. Sex is enjoyable, at least to the vast majority of people since we're pretty much biologically set up to derive pleasure from it. The only instance in which it is wrong to derive pleasure for yourself is when it's harmful to somebody else, psychologically or physically. It's not a sign of an uncivilized society, it's a sign of a society where people are free enough to embrace their sexuality. I hope you can at least see why some people are being offended by some of your claims that lack any logical foundation and that condemn a certain style of life. You say that promiscuous people must have no self-respect but I'd say the opposite. If they know what they want, how much they want it, and manage to get it with other people who feel the same then that's wonderful and by no means self-degrading. It's not healthy to strengthen some of the notions that lead to the kind of sexual shame we've seen in the past.

As for STD's, the only way to eliminate the chance of getting one to 100 % is simply to never have sex. However, if you're responsible in your promiscuity you can still manage to avoid them just fine and detect them early if you have yourself regularly checked. I can understand your not wanting to have a partner who's been extremely promiscuous in the past but please don't let your personal feelings lead to an overall judgemental and offensive attitude.

As for your question as to whether I'd like to have someone who's slept with 200 guys as a partner: yes. I mean, I judge his personality based on how he treats me and other human beings, not his sexual history. Besides, with that many former partners he must be pretty good! Although then again I might not be the right person to ask since I would probably let my partner sleep with other people under certain conditions if he wanted to. Surely that means I have no respect for myself, no? Tongue

I said it was fine to be shallow. Fuck, I'm shallow too. I've said before that I'm not attracted to obesity, and that certainly makes me shallow. I just admit that fact openly. You aren't better than them and neither am I. You may not be attracted to them, and I really don't care. Honestly, that makes them less attractive to me too. That doesn't mean you can strut around and act like you are so fucking superior to them though. People live different lifestyles. You have yours and they have theirs. Deal with it and get over it.

It's not really a matter of being shallow, it's a matter of respect. Imagine a conversation like this:

Random Person 1: So, you're a teacher?
Random Person 2: Oh yes! I always wanted to become one because I love children.
RP1: And at weekends you volunteer at the centre for homeless people?
RP2: Yes, I try to help as much as I can. After all, that was just how I was raised.
RP1: Your colleagues have said you're always being kind and cheerful at work, would you agree?
RP2: Oh, I don't know. I do my best to treat everyone kindly I suppose.
RP1: Marvellous! There's one thing though...
RP2: Hmm?
RP1: Well, apparently you uhm... sleep with a lot of different people.
RP2: Oh... well, I'm not in a relationship but I still have a pretty strong sex-drive. So yeah. I like having sex with lots of people.
RP1: Have some respect for yourself you indecent human being! ARGH what is our civilization coming to with people like you just screwing around for your own pleasure without harming anyone!?
RP2: B-but it's not harming anyone and I still do all the volunt-
RP1: I have no respect for you, just stop.
RP2: Oh no, woe is me, a modern conservative stance on sexual liberation is making me lose my self-respect whereas it was just fine before all you people started judging me! NOOOOOO.

To be perfectly frank, yes I think people who have "open" relationships set themselves up for complete heartache. I feel like they have so little self respect for themselves that they will allow their partners to dictate to them who they will sleep with(especially if one of the partners is monogamous) just so that they dont "lose" them. I mean there are so many other guys out there who would want to be with you exclusively. Why would you allow your partner to bring someone else in to share something so intimate that should be shared exclusively between two partners in a committed relationship?

Ive never heard of anyone that has lived happily ever after in an open relationship.(Im not saying it doesnt happen but I think its rather rare) Sooner or later two of the people in all the openness will want to be together exclusively which will shut out the rest of the people in the relationship and cause hurt and resentment etc. Do you really wanna take the chance that the third wheel will be you?

And I never said that you had to eliminate the chance of STD's by 100%. I would feel alot safer having sex with one partner that I know intimately well and know the sex history of than I would want to have sex with someone who had lost count of the number of sex partners they have had.

Its indecent to be promiscuous for that very reason. It shows you really cant show any self-restraint. Just because you want it doesnt mean that you should have it right now. I feel like Im honestly trying to parent a child here. "NO you cant have sex whenever you want it because there are dire consequences youll have to face if something goes wrong! "But DAD I REALLY WANNA HAVE SEX!"

I really cant believe some people live their lives that way. What if everyone lived their lives with no self restraint? Crime would sky rocket, it wouldnt even be safe to even walk the streets. Thats all because we are a semi civilized society who realized that exercising self restraint is the way to go if you dont want to bear the consequences of bad choices. Its getting worse though. With everything being so "instant" these days, every generation is exercising less and less self restraint while having to deal with the consequences of those choices.

So basically doing many good things outweighs the one bad thing that they do? LOL how does that work?
