Yeah, I haven't played 11 (no time or money for it), or 3 since its only on the DS here. Someday I will, but I can't afford it now.

lol, there are lots of new FFs coming out. Lets see there is:

Dissidia: Final Fantasy - a fighting game with past heroes and villains.

Final Fantasy XIII
Final Fantasy Versus XIII -> all three part of Fabula Nova Crystalis
Final Fantasy Agito XIII

Plus I think there is another FF: Crystal Chronicles too.

For anyone who cares, a little E3 update:

Final Fantasy XIII will be out North America by next spring.
Dissidia will be released in NA on August 25th (I really can't wait)

And for the big news,
the reveal of Final Fantasy XIV Online for the PS3/PC.

Its a bit too bad that I'm not into online RPGs, its just not the same as the good old single player with a absolutely stunning story with deep characters.

Just played through Final Fantasy X again. For the 6th time or so. I really love the story at the end. It always makes me cry when Tidus disappears Cry

I need to play a FF Game sooooo bad. I just completed Breath of fire 4 and Phantasy star 4, so i guess im almost out of RPGs.
I've never played a FF game, I think i'd want to start with one of the SNES ones, but which one?!(I'd have to get a north american copy, they never came out in europe)

SNES?

Oh dear, long time I've seen one. I'm feeling very old now

On SNES I can recommend you Lufia (okay, actually Lufia 2, because Lufia 1 never came out in europe :frown: ) a really great RPG

Well for the SNES, you have Final Fantasy IV, V, and VI to choose from. Since you haven't played a FF before, I suggest either IV or VI, because V has a really complicated class system that is better left until you see what FF has to offer and you can appreciate it more. Now, I would suggest that you play VI since it is considered to be one of the best installments in the series (and some say it is the best), for me, in terms of story it is second only to VII, but its my 3rd favorite.

Now, you can get Final Fantasy IV and VI for the SNES from North America, however IV was called FF II when it was originally released (because North America skipped the original FFII and FFIII), and similarly VI was called III. However, you can also get IV and VI (and V) for the Playstation and for Gameboy Advance. Probably a bit easier to do it that way since they are newer and more copies exist on the market.

Thats my suggestion, any questions?

lol, its complicated to explained, but easy to understand once you get it. The retrospective link I posted on the first post in this thread explains it nicely (if you were really curious Wink ).
