Ah, I love Final Fantasy! I've played all the main games except for XI, XIII and XIV. XIII looks amazing! And I'm in love with Vanille but I don't have a PS3 so until I get one I'll have to play other games. My favorites are VI, IX and X. I loathe II and XII. I've never finished VIII, I should get around to doing so.
Oh and I wanna play Dissidia but I don't own a PSP. I should really buy one, it's been getting really good games with Persona 3 Portable and all.
I have now played FF XIII since I last posted here. I was a bit disappointed with it since there was so much more that could have been done with that game. Don't get me wrong, its beautiful to watch, the graphics are amazing and the music is top notch, but the overwhelming expansive world is limited and the journey is extremely linear... almost like you follow a single path with the rare diversion. The side quests were lacking... compared to the Marks in XII and Monster Arena in X, the Cie'th Stones were quite dull.
Oh well, there's always somethings that are annoying, but its still an amazing game (although a little confusing at the end).
Now I get to wait for Final Fantasy Versus XIII and the recently announced Final Fantasy Dissidia Duodecim 012 (Square-Enix needs a new title creator, its getting a little out of hand).
I still haven't played any. Shadow gave me a few though...should really get round to playing them. I just haven't been very RPG-y lately.
The SNES ones, if you're curious.
I'm playing Final Fantasy 4 on the DS right now, it's so hard though! I died with Cecil and Kain right after leaving Banon and quit because I cannot sit through that intro again. -__-
Anyways, it's nice to see it in 3D! I hope FF5 and FF6 get remakes soon. D:
I don't think any other RPG has compared to FFVII... maybe it's the soundtrack, the time of life I played it (happy days), but it makes me truly nostalgic.
sorry if I'm gonna cause junk here but -
The everything after IX kinda went a little crazy for me, they seem to get the most awful voice actors and it really kills it. I got XIII for the xbox 360 and got onto disc 2 and just wasn't feeling it; the whole thing looks so gorgeous but it felt very directed and 'on rails', most of the charcaters are fairly punchable except for the chocobo pet... I'll be happy when they go back to a more emotional feel and story-based game.
FINALLY! I got the Platinum Trophy in Final Fantasy XIII... now I have nothing left to do in the game. Time to wait for FF Versus XIII and Dissidia Duodecim 012.
