XIV got terrible reviews, XIII was mixed (from what I've seen).
I managed to play XIII today! For a few hours only but I honestly didn't think it was that linear, it felt like X again which I loved (maybe that's why I don't mind?). The battle system is awesome.
SrChulo Wrote:So, was it FFXIII that just came out that got terrible reviews? Or is it XIV? I've lost track.
FFXIII got fairly average to poor reviews on reception, it's widely hailed as a flawed experiment with a new combat system, albeit an interesting one... expect to see around the 7-8 / 10 mark on average
OMG, they are releasing Final Fantasy IV and the After Years on the PSP with enhanced visuals and added content - wheeee!!! But why do they keep skipping III...
Didn't they do a DS redux of III or something? If I'm thinking right that's one of the most overlooked ones in the series. I've never played it myself. Then again I haven't played one since X...
I'm kinda... just neutral towards this news. I love IV but... this just seems like overkill. I guess it's "fair" with the 20th anniversary of IV though, maybe V and VI will follow as well. I don't know about III... I liked the DS remake but I too didn't like the 3D, I'd much rather play it in 2D.
Anyways, both III and IV got complete remakes, what about V and VI?
Also, since the DS has been mentioned has anyone tried out the 4 Heroes of Light? It's a "traditional" Final Fantasy I've heard but I'm kind of iffy about it, should I just go get it? =\
I thought this final fantasy thread would be about like "What final fantasy would you live out if the earth was going to explode in 48 hours!"
Sadly I've not played the computer game yet!
