'Wounded Rhymes' by Lykke Li. I liked it, although not as much as I had anticipated. Perhaps it's one of those albums you can't fully appreciate with only one listen.

'Strange Mercy' by St. Vincent. After several listens I think I can add this woman to my list of musical crushes c:

'Fever Ray' by Fever Ray.

Listened to this for maybe the second time and I'm in love! It's made by a woman who's more famous for being a part of the Swedish duo that is 'The Knife'. They seem pretty famous but I've never listened to their stuff. Guess that's next on the list! c:

Maybe one of my favourite albums *_*
I'm in love with Karin "Fever Ray" Dreijer Andersson and Olof Dreijer.
The Knife are one of my favourite band (or THE favourite) since few years, and I love so much the solist Karin too.

Thanks to Spotify, today I listened this very nice album from the UNKLE: War Stories

Nearby trip-hop, rock, electronic.
This week I'm in a trip-hop mode, I'm listening a lot of Massive Attack, Tricky etc. ... And a very lot of The Knife XD

'Debut' by Björk. It wasn't really bad but not all that good either. I prefer her less naive and more aggressive stuff like 'Post' and 'Homogenic'. Still, crushing on her nonetheless!

Ahhh Bjork <3

Awesome! I better check out that one. Because you know, we both have one thing we like so obviously I'm going to like other stuff you listen to. Logic my friend.

Since this is often brought up as one of the best albums ever made I'm extremely disappointed. I didn't care for it at all but I think I'm just personally biased towards shoegazing...

I am listening to the Album Melanie C - The Sea

It is probably the album that is getting me through my hard break up right now. This album speaks volume of how I feel my previous relationship just went. Highly suggest you take a listen.

This is my first Daft Punk album and I was prepared to be blown away which didn't really happen. I mean I think it's good but not as good as I had been led to believe. Some people had called the arrangements on 'Beyond' and 'Motherboard' BREATHTAKING and I just don't see it... oh well. It was worth the listen at least! Smile

Loveless is one of my all time favorite albums; every time I listen to it I hear its sonic architecture in a different way. It's really dense and at first listen it's pretty repetitive. The more I listened the more I picked up on buried melodies and entangled layers; texture is really a chief focus, and I'm a sucker for that kind of thing. I think when people call it one of the greatest albums ever made they are waaaay over-hyping it, which is a shame because it's a good record that people build up into something bigger than it is and raise people's expectations too high. That's part of why their third record took so long to finish - how do you meet people's expectations if they think your last record was the best thing ever?

As for the new Daft Punk, some of it's pretty good but nothing amazing. It differs from their earlier albums in that they used session musicians instead of doing it electronically and using samples, and it encompasses more varied styles, but still follows the approach of vamped beats and repeated vocal hooks with 'robotic' effects.

Last record I listened to was Nocturne by Wild Nothing. Some chilled out dream pop that makes for great driving music.
