Hmm. I was kinda expecting more of an 'island' accent. I think of Jamaican Accents when I think of those far off exotic places like Bermuda...:biggrin:

Oh no BA, that was articulating lol. If I talked like how I do normally, you'd be left wondering where you left your ears lol. Like I've said, we don't have a patois like Jamaicans or Trinidadians, but we have a very unique vernacular and speech pattern. I talk like this when speaking to a non Bermudian, so you can understand me.

I'm uploading more vids with my accent coming out more, but it's not like Jamaican's...alot, only some words and phrases

So here's another vid, with me talking about empathy and how it applies to my life. It's two segments, but I have to upload the other half tonight, cause I'm really busy. Again this was taken at night, as well as the next segment x.x, but one of these days I'll find time to do it in the light lol.

I'm just so busy during the day(today's my first day off from both jobs in months -but I got groceries and stuff to worry about and practicing for Grade Exams, so free time during the day goes towards other stuff :/ )




Also, how about some suggestions for topics? Or like a QA in regards to questions or topics you might find interesting i.e Q 1 -"Do you believe in Paranormal Activites?" Q 2 -"how do you think the world came to be?" and so on. Just stuff you're interested in, cause I'd rather talk about what you guys find interesting or wanna know(nothing personal x.x )

My British history teacher in college was from Bermuda and I remember her accent being more Britishy than yours, which sounds somewhat more American to me.

It depends on the person and what part of the island you're from. I'm from a part where the accent was fast and thick, but I can easily correct it to sound more coherent to non-Bermudians, but for instance, people from Somerset tend to sound more british than people from Hamilton(where I was raised), so it can vary.

Like I say Hospital, but People from Somerset say Hauspital, which sounds british to me.

Also, older Bermudians tend to sound more british, cause they retain the old speech.

I naturally talk fast, not really nervous, but it's hard to conciously slow down sometimes.
