Who Would You Choose as The New Doctor Who?

Puppy Rupert Grint is up for the role. I think he's be great!

if the new doctor is female , she'll be white .
if the new doctor isn't white , he'll be male Smile

I think they are waiting for the total reincarnation of the Doctor, after his life cycle of regenerations is over, I think they will pick a woman. That is, if they decide to continue the series.

But I think since the Dr. gets younger with each regeneration, I think Rupert Grint is a good choice.

I don't think he has the "rage of the Time Lord" though. Tennant NAILED that like a cheap whore. And I think it would be funny if he still wasn't a ginger after Tennant had that crack about "still not a ginger" after his regeneration...

Time Lords seem to regenerate in the same sex. River Song did, even though she wasn't exactly a Time Lord... It would confuse the storyline.

There was a time lord called the Corsair the doctor mentions after finding his arm. To quote the doctor:

The Doctor Wrote:See that snake? The mark of the Corsair. Fantastic bloke. He had that snake as a tattoo in every regeneration. Didn't feel like himself unless he had the tattoo... or herself a couple of times. Oh hoo, she was a bad girl!

There was also a non-canon what if episode where the doctor did regenerate female.

I forgot about that...and somehow missed the what-if episode.

I don't think it would do the show any favors if he were to regenerate as a female. I'm not opposed to having a female Time Lord, just I don't think it'll suite the storyline.

As to who it will be... hmmm I'm not sure. Perhaps someone of the Merlin cast?
