It's interesting that so many see prisons as punitive and even revenge when I think they should be there for society's protection. I wondered if they were SAFE to release or still psychotic and/or psychos? Apparently that question didn't enter anyone else's mind, only if they had "suffered enough."

Forgiveness is all well and good and I highly recommend it (within reason), but not the irresponsibility of releasing mad dogs into society.
