What's your favourite Colour?
#21
Purple.
Closely followed by green.

And red when it accents black.

And black, obviously.

I can't say that I have a favourite colour, it depends on so many factors, my mood, the time of years etc. I used to be anti-red and I still don't wear it but it doesn't stop me using it in other areas of my life. Yellow is very life affirming, blue is calming to me but that depends on whether it's pale blue or dark navy. I wear khaki green at times but wouldn't use it in decoration. Maybe my colour is rainbow!

Grey/Gray...

When I first moved in here I painted the whole interior shades of grey. Dark grey trim, medium grey walls, very light grey ceiling.

I wear mostly grey clothing.

Why? I am slightly color blind. My left eye has less of both cones and rods thus everything in that eye is muted in color. My right eye is better. While I can distinguish basic colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet) the middle ground of all colors is difficult for me to recognize. I confuse similar 'hues' such as purple blue with greenish blue - if they are the same intensity they both look sorta blue to me.

Light yellows look white to me. I can't distinguish between muted yellow and antique white - both look like a very light grey to me.

I have trouble distinguishing between shades.

This and This and This look exactly the same color - orange - Dark orange, Sandy Brown and Orange I assume they are different colors since the box thingy has them. So too do This and This. I have been informed that the first is a light blue and the latter is a Silver. Informed by the codes... For all I know they are exactly the same color and the site is lying to me.

Combining both eyes I have both protanopia and tritanopia.

I did paint my truck 'light brown' which I have been informed is 'taupe' - You know, light brown. It looks brown to me... Rolleyes

In order to use colors in say MS Paint, I have a color chart that gives me the color name and its RBG numbers for the middle colors between the basic colors.

Oh and my second color of choice is plaid... It is a color, I don't care what other people say.... Roflmao

Dahveed the site's definitely not lying, because I see a distinct difference between all those colors :p

This kind of thing fascinates me - shows that forms of perception as basic as color can be perceived in very different ways between two people. Nothing is a given.

I've always liked grays too - particularly shiny silver. Gold can take a hike. Red is overrated. And fuck taupe - grayish brown trying be sound fancy!

"paper" money is actually made from cotton / linen

I don't know about American Money or any others, but they Use Cellulose, collected from Wood in our old money. We have 2 kinds of BMD(Bermuda Dollar) in circulation on the island and the older one uses Woodpulp(Cellulose).

The newer one in similar to European money, just slimmer and without the Queen Smile . We got birds and flowers on our money lol, that's the only thing I like about ours(even though the Queen's influence is still lingering...). And this one doesn't.

And even still, money is disgusting anywho. Let's just make it all virtual please Wink .

My typical answer to that question has always been green, but as I have matured and gotten more in touch with myself I think the more truthful answer is I like vibrant colors. Dark greens, deep, purples, rich reds, big blues, earthy browns, greys that make you just want to stare, that type of thing.
