Grey/Gray...
When I first moved in here I painted the whole interior shades of grey. Dark grey trim, medium grey walls, very light grey ceiling.
I wear mostly grey clothing.
Why? I am slightly color blind. My left eye has less of both cones and rods thus everything in that eye is muted in color. My right eye is better. While I can distinguish basic colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet) the middle ground of all colors is difficult for me to recognize. I confuse similar 'hues' such as purple blue with greenish blue - if they are the same intensity they both look sorta blue to me.
Light yellows look white to me. I can't distinguish between muted yellow and antique white - both look like a very light grey to me.
I have trouble distinguishing between shades.
This and
This and
This look exactly the same color - orange - Dark orange, Sandy Brown and Orange I assume they are different colors since the box thingy has them. So too do
This and
This. I have been informed that the first is a light blue and the latter is a Silver. Informed by the codes... For all I know they are exactly the same color and the site is lying to me.
Combining both eyes I have both protanopia and tritanopia.
I did paint my truck 'light brown' which I have been informed is 'taupe' - You know, light brown. It looks brown to me...
In order to use colors in say MS Paint, I have a color chart that gives me the color name and its RBG numbers for the middle colors between the basic colors.
Oh and my second color of choice is plaid... It is a color, I don't care what other people say....
