Apparently none of them ever read any science fiction.
Anyone who has ever read any type of science fiction, knows that the technology has come to pass.

I was talking to my Aunt once about scifi books and stories. She said when she was a teen she liked scifi stories. She remembered one story about "super highways", with 8 to 10 lanes. When she was younger, THIS was "scifi".

Now look at it....I dont know about Europe, but here in the US, where would we be without our 10 lane highways????

Just look at all the technology that came from Star Trek!!!
Catscans
Mobile Xray machines
The Bluetooth in your ear
The flip phone
The cell phone
The desktop computer
The laptop
The tablet, kindle, notepad, etc....
The microchip
Holograms
Hyposprays (yes they invented one, but they are EXPENSIVE)
Biobeds
And mega tons of theories on space, time, dimensions, planets, etc....

My mother worked for JC Penny accounting office here in Dallas "back when".
I remember when she brought me a ton of computer punch cards home to play with, because they had changed out their punch card computers with program computers.
