Do you carry an umbrella?
#41
Hmm never thought it would be worth more. It cost me about $250, bought at one of the posher men's clothier shops back in the day.

I liked it has a wooden pole inside of it over the metal tubes, its sort of hefty, one could conceivably beat someone to death before it snapped.... I had tired of nearly buying a new umbrella each year because the metal ones bent or the cloth would break lose from the ribs...

It is manual over spring loaded, its a two handed affair to open it. That was the only 'downside'.

I keep an umbrella in my car. Last year the university I was living at got a lot of rain so I carried it a lot out there. I don't normally bother with an umbrella from my house to my car, from my car to the office when it's raining.

I like the BIG umbrellas. I think they call them "golf" umbrellas.
I like them big and black.

I have a tiny folding one in my tote bag I carry (its my "purse").

I buy mine at Target, because they seem to be the only place that sells large umbrellas like that anymore. I dont use them often. Probably 4 times a year at the max, but I have them just in case.
This year its been raining a lot, so Ive used it several times already this year.

I need a new one though, its got a little hole in it. I hate that. Cant repair it.

I prefer London Fog umbrellas, but as of the late 1990's, I cant find them anywhere anymore.
There used to be some London Fog stores in the malls here, but they all closed down.

Hmm, Are you saying I could have two umbrellas? One as a treat and one practical?
wow, I haven't thought about that. Now, that would be pampering... I will think about it Big Grin

Nick all umbrellas should be a treat Big Grin i like many people have said, like the big sturdy ones, not the flimsy things that turn inside out at the slightest gust and leave you looking a tit! its worth spending that little extra on quality (yes, you can do a little better than lidl nick lol)

Ive had same big black one (umbrella) for 2 years now and it stands against the corner by the front door, i,ll only use it if its really chucking it down
