lol, thank you. I am sure I wouldn't like to carry it from morning till evening just because it may rain in the afternoon, but maybe I could have one folding as a back up and one old fashioned as "a treat" for those happy days when it rains since morning
yeah I know, you all would like to have the problems I have....
I pass for very English, as I practically always have an umbrella with me. I have several folding ones, once had a rainbow one I bought in Venice but it's a bit broken, so not to be used in windy conditions...Otherwise I like big black ones that can shelter many a dame, or me and my man... Actually i bought him a pink one, and an apple-green one for myself. We can go out in the rain as a colourful pair.... hehe.
I always loved the image of man and umbrella, in the film "a bridge too far" WWII, a soldier has an umbrella, when asked why he says "so they know im english" i love the way he holds and uses it. At the end you see it on the floor and know hes dead. umbrellas always remind me of that.

yeah thats from the show Glee...its about a high school Glee club and all the issues they have to face plus they are preparing for competition(they have Sectionals, Regionals, and finally Nationals) I think it was from the second season of the show. If you look carefully you will see that is Gwynneth Paltrow who guest starred on the show for quite a few episodes.
