I have no problem with any peaceful, loving, kind, considerate and adaptable human being who calls himself a Muslim, I have a problem with people who use their religious beliefs to justify HATE and VIOLENCE.
It would just seem that in this modern day, Muslims are repeating the mistakes made by Christians in the dark ages and they deserve to have the rest of the world stand up to them and say 'What you are doing is unacceptable in our country and our societies. You adapt to our ways and our life or you stay in your Muslim Country.'
Do you honestly believe that a Christian could go to any middle eastern Muslim nation and share their beliefs of Christianity and walk out of that country ALIVE?
To the bold statement,I can't agree with you more. I condemn those who use religion to justify hate and violence, especially Muslims.
Yeah, just like the saying,"When in Rome, do as the Romans". It's just that I hope there are few things like building mosque, broadcasting prayer, wearing scarf, etc, could be more tolerated and not made a big fuss. It's simply freedom of religion in that matter.
To the last question,I don't honestly believe that in Middle Eastern countries, although for country of multi-cultures like Malaysia (which is of course not Middle East),you'll be alive.

VileKyle Wrote:Thank you for sharing that with us. I wasn't sure if we did have any Muslims on this site, and I'm glad we do. You'll have a rough time of things anywhere you go these days, but there are people out there who have your back. I may not be Muslim, but I respect you for staying true to your beliefs when the world screams at you to change who you are.
VileKyle Wrote:Sure. Some people understand that it's just the fault of a few fanatics, but there are plenty of people who blame the entire religion. Some of those people are in this very thread. Mamza doesn't need anymore of that bigotry, since he's probably had plenty of it already.
Thank you very much Kyle,it's very comforting knowing that I have people on my back. Yeah,Malaysia is an exceptional Islamic country, thanks to exposure to multi-cultures for centuries. And yeah,in case you've all forgotten,we still have another Muslim on the site from Malaysia,Jay.

Jay is Jay and I love him to bits just the way he is
Yup,I know that from my PMs with him,but I believe he would still defense his religion in this matter. Peace.

Come on, be real.
Nobody cares about religious violence unless its Muslim?
Maybe you should look at BBC news, ever single day is reports of violence and terrorism in Northern Ireland, between protestants and Catholics, so take your liberal crap and please shove it where the sun doesn't shine.
I would probably fuck myself with liberalism if I could if that's what you were implying. It'd make for a better lover than a lot of people.
In any case, woah, things did really get out of hand. To make things perfectly clear, I never accused you of denouncing ALL muslims. However, banning their prayers from broadcast would get consequences for all of them - in other words normal, peaceful muslims would be targeted because of the actions of more extreme individuals.
In any case, sorry if I came off as too harsh. I think it's partially because a lot of important people in my life coincidentally have been muslims and I've seen with my own eyes how the masses view them. My best friend's muslim family never really adapted, like you complained about though. They'll never be integrated parts of Sweden and their only friends are back home where they came from. It's probably not very easy to just become a part of a new society after leaving everything behind to escape genocide and find refuge in a very different place. But they work hard, pay their taxes, vote, treat people nicely and just live friendly but somewhat secluded lives - who cares if they haven't absorbed Swedish traditions and customs?

Look! in reply to various things, UK is not a ISLAM country and WE dont want it to be. There own prayer on channel 4 is an insult. What you do in your countrys is fine, if i want to learn about islam i,ll go there. But i wont need to now, its being pushed in our face.
•
But like people said, when you can ignore the prayer by clicking a button (it takes about 1 second) it's NOT being pushed in your face. Of course the UK is not an Islamic country but that doesn't mean your muslim minority can't have the right to broadcast their prayers if they want to.
•
In uk, channel 4 isnt just another channel, its one of the oldest ones, it was invented as an "educational" channel lol now we have this crap. Its nice, real nice.
•
How disrespectful coming from someone who demands mutual respect.
•
I believe that for partisan it has a symbolic meaning. The point is not that you can change the chanel, Solemnboy.
