the gay dating pool is small, we are only 3-5% of the population, not the 10% they told us we were back in the 1940's. Subtract off the portion from this small number that is:

LGBT peeps spend a lot of time growing up in the closet, in fact this is the first generation that can sorta PDA in public. Not a lot of good comes out of that environment. Many gays, especially the older generation, prefer to hook up because that is what they were allowed to do all their lives to this point.
