The only ever admission came from the then French Prime Minister that 2 French Secret Service agents were 'acting on orders' to sabotage the Rainbow Warrior. No real reason has even been given as to why the orders were given, although there is a lot of speculation.

It is a mystery that will die with those involved.

What is known is the 2 agents were found guilty of manslaughter and prisoned. Their identities were never revealed or confirmed.

1 man I believe died when he went back to the ship after the first explosion and died as a result of the second explosion.
