It has been renamed Willis-Eckborn disease. Yes it is treatable, but treatment options vary. I have suffered from it for five years. It is no fun pacing the room all night because one cannot lie still. But it is treatable. Ropinerol, Requip, dopamine inhibitors. Right now I use Hydrocodone (lortab) and Requip and keep it under control that way. There is a useful site with valuable info and a forum. I cannot post the link because I do not have 50 posts. I will try to PM you with it. I post under the screen name Eternityroad.
Good luck and keep us posted.
