A Midwesterner's definition of the Midwest
#1
A lot of people don't know what the Midwest is. They think it's the central US only. That's not true.

The Midwestern states are- North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri (just barely, is almost a southern state) Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio

Arkansas and Oklahoma are NOT in the Midwest because the term "Midwest" is CULTURAL, not geographic. OK and AR are culturally Southern and are therefore Southern states, especially Arkansas (which is the opposite of the Midwest, believe me)
