Even here people can be horrible. I've lived in or around Seattle my entire life, and I'm still nervous about letting people know I'm gay.

Just hang out on Capitol Hill and you'll have no problem . I've held my boyfriend's hand walking down the street there and kissed him in public at Seattle Center. No heads turned that I noticed.

One of the guys flying the rainbow flag at his new business is a proud US veteran. He made sure the way the flag was displayed followed US flag protocol. The issue is not legal -- just a matter of fear, ignorance, bigotry, and fvcked up backwards attitudes.
